Children’s Ministry

Our desire is to partner with parents in the spiritual growth of their children. Through Bible study opportunities, music programs, mission programs, camps, DiscipleNow, and just plain fun, we strive to provide quality experiences through which a life-long commitment to Jesus Christ can be made.
Children’s Bible Drills – (Grades 4 – 6) – 5:00pm, Room 306.  For more information, contact Margie Heltzel or Kevin Hurt.
G.A. Camp – For girls who have completed Grades 3-6 at Camp GARAYWA in Clinton, MS for a week during the summer.  For more information about Camp Garaywa, click here.

Sunday school is a time of Bible study for the whole family. Through games, stories, and songs, children will develop not only a basic understanding of the Bible but also truths from the Bible that they can apply in their lives each week. Also, each month they will receive a magazine to help them develop a daily time with God. Sunday School meets at
 
 24/7 is a worship service designed “Just for Kids” in Grades 1 – 5.  Every 1st Sunday during the
Children’s Choirs meet on Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m.
  • Praise Kids (Grades 1-3) in Room 312 with Mrs. Lori Edney.
  • Young Musicians (Grades 4-6) in Room 106 with Mrs. Frances Hassell.
GAs - Girls in Action® is the missions education organization for girls in 1st through 6th grades and meets on Wednesday nights 6:15 – 7:00 p.m. Through hands-on experiences, stories of missionaries and cultural understanding activities, GAs learn that they can change their world as they:
  •      Learn about missions
  •      Pray for missions
  •      Give to missions
  •      Do missions
  •      And participate in the work of the church
RAs - Royal Ambassodors are for boys in 1st through 6th grades and meets on Wednesday nights 6:15 – 7:00 p.m.  RA are representatives of Christ the King bringing good news of salvation to people everywhere.  The Scripture passage 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 decribes the purpose of the RAs.  For more information, click here.
 Upward Basketball is a basketball league here at our church for 1st-6th graders. It combines teaching the important skills of basketball with the development of each child’s Christian character or introduces them to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Children are challenged to learn scripture, participate in Bible studies, and have great fun with a team of friends. For more information on Upward Basketball, visit www.upward.org.
 
Vacation Bible School is a ministry designed to reach people of all ages, leading them to know and respond to Jesus Christ as led by the Holy Spirit.  VBS is a fun-filled,  spiritual adventurous week for children who have completed Kindergarten through 6th Grade that provides concentrated Bible Study, worship, crafts, music missions, snacks, and recreation. 

Ministry Day is a day for the kids to do some hands-on ministry. They will have the opportunity to serve people in our community and the Metro Jackson area. We will be visiting the Children’s Hospital, nursing homes, and various other places throughout the year. 


Kids’ Night Out is a time for your child to just have fun and enjoy being a kid! We may go on a short trip or just play lots of games at the church. Whatever we do, your child is promised a night full of FUN in a great atmosphere!
