MISSIONS MINISTRY 

Act 1:8 states: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."

FBC Vicksburg seeks to fulfill this commandment through various mission opportunities.
We provide local mission opportunities of service in Vicksburg.  Some missions include:

Medical and Dental Clinic
FBC Medical/Dental Clinic has been helping residents of Vicksburg for over twenty years, providing free medical and dental care and free prescriptions to those who have no medical insurance and not covered by Medicare or Medicaid. 

Mercy Ministries
Provides Grief Share and Divorce Care counseling to those who are hurting from the lost of a loved one or divorce.

Family Missions Day
FBC Vicksburg families serve the community at least once a year.

Disaster Relief
Men and Women serve in Mississippi and other states during times of disaster. Participants can serve on the following teams: Meals, Chainsaw, Chaplaincy, Childcare, Mud Out/Tarping/ Shower Trailer, and Basic Assessment.  

New Church Starts
FBC Vicksburg has had a hand in assisting several new church starts within the past few years. Mission teams are sent from our church to work along side these churches to reach the lost. 

New Circle Church - Indianapolis, IN
Live Oak Church - New Orleans, Louisiana

Church Revitalization to Help Other Churches Grow
FBC Vicksburg is partnering with Gillespie Avenue Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN to help support them as they work to revitalize their church.  FBC Vicksburg has agreed to support them for two years by praying for them, sending people to help with needed renovations, partnering with community outreach events, and giving financial support as needed.
